The State of Qatar has expressed its welcoming of the agreement reached between the movements of Fatah and Hamas, in Holy Mecca, to form a national unity government. This came in a statement to Qatar News Agency by an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The source further has voiced his hope that the formation of the Palestinian national unity government will enhance closing ranks and unify Palestinian brethren with a view to realizing the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people and maintaining their national unity.
The source has also praised the efforts made by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in reaching this agreement.
Concluding its statement, the source called on the international community to provide support to this agreement, cooperate with the Palestinian national unity government and lift the siege from Palestinian people.
