Nation & Citizens Government Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Economy Tourism An official source statement over the remarks made by Pope Benedict XVI on Islam In a statement to Qatar News Agency, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed his regret and surprise over the remarks made by Pope Benedict XVI on Islam, its teachings and the Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him. The source has further noted that such remarks are unacceptable, and go against the historic and humanitarian facts of the tolerant Islamic faith, its principles and values which are based on mercy, compassion, tolerance, justice, love and good and constructive preaching.
