Nation & Citizens Government Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Economy Tourism Qatar welcomes the election of Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed as a President to the Republic of Somalia The State of Qatar has expressed its welcoming of the election of Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed as a President to the Republic of Somalia. This came in A statement by an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Qatar News Agency. The official source further indicated that the election of the president constitutes a positive step in the right direction towards the rebuilding of the State and realization of national reconciliation among the Somali people.
