This came in a statement by an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Qatar News Agency. The official source referred to the telephone call made by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to His Excellency Michel Suleiman, President of the sisterly Lebanese Republic. The official source further expressed hope that the new parliament will contribute to unifying Lebanese rank and file in a way which achieves the aspirations of the sisterly Lebanese people and maintains its national unity.
