The State of Qatar has expressed its condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces storming Al-Aqsa Mosque and using force and violence against worshippers in mosque compound and entry of extremist Jews into the holy Aqsa Mosque. This came in a statement by an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Qatar News Agency. The official noted that these attacks are a violation of international conventions and a breach of international and humanitarian laws and an attempt by Israel to drag the region into a spiral of violence with a view to implementing its plans to eliminate any chance of achieving peace in the region. The source called on the international community to bear its responsibilities and take the necessary measures immediately to protect the Islamic holy sites from these attacks and actions in order to achieve security and stability in the region. The official further reiterated the State of Qatar's support to the Palestinian people in their just struggle for their legitimate rights, including the right to self-determination and to establish their independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.
