Geneva/(QNA)16 May 2012/ HE the President of the UN General Assembly Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser conferred today with the ambassadors of the Arab Group in Geneva on the sidelines of the 2012 Disarmament Conference. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments concerning the activities of the State of Qatar's presidency of the UN General Assembly and the topics included on the agenda of the General Assembly as well as the latest developments at the international and regional levels.
The meeting stressed the importance of concerted Arab efforts to ensure an active and influential Arab presence in the activities of the General Assembly and in defense of the Arab rights.
The Arab Group praised the diplomatic efforts made by HE Al-Nasser in his capacity as president of the UN General Assembly through his contribution to the consolidation of the principles of security and stability and his efforts to address the challenges facing countries of the world to improve and develop communities in all domains.
