Prime Minister Says Annan's Plan Should Have a Specific Time Frame

Geneva/ QNA /30 June 2012/ HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani has underlined the need that the plan of the Joint Special Envoy of United Nations-Arab League on the Syrian Crisis Kofi Annan should have a specific time frame, schedule and method of implementation and should be enhanced by Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani said in a statement, aired over Al Jazeera satellite channel this afternoon," what we hope for is what the Syrian people hope for ", adding that there should be a political plan for the transition of political power in Syria peacefully and according to the Arab League plan of January 22, 2012 and Annan's six-point plan. HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister who is also Chairman of the Arab Ministerial Committee on the Syrian Crisis said: "This is our point of view in the Arab world and in the State of Qatar, and this is what we expressed in the last Arab meeting on the Syrian crisis, held in Doha." |
