Doha/QNA/31 January 2010/ H.E. the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani received here on Sunday morning Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Turki al-Subai'e, Chairman of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) in Turkey, a subsidiary of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the IRCICA's Director Dr.Khaled Aren and the centre's Assistant Director Mohamed Tamimi.
Talks during the meeting dealt with relations between Qatar and the IRCICA in addition to H.H. the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's donation of USD 5mn during a recent visit H.H. made to the Centre.
The amount was earmarked for the Centre's projects especially Al-Quds 2015 programme which focuses on the sacred values of holy Jerusalem as well as researches on the city's history, studies on the monuments, restoration of ancient buildings and development of Muslim neighbourhoods in the city.
